MECHANICS UPDATES

On Land

  • Max fall speed reduced ∞>>>20

In Water

  • Max vertical swim/sink speed increased 2>>>4
  • Max horizontal swim speed increased 4>>>5


ENTITY UPDATES

Green Carp

  • Speed increased 1.5>>>2.5

Puffer

  • "Puffed" size multiplier increased 3>>>5

//This is as compensation for increase in underwater mobility as it became too easy to navigate around them//

Bonedit

  • Jump increased 16>>>18


MAIN LEVEL UPDATES

Level 1

  • Areas in which the player can fall off the map have been slightly decreased

Level 3

  • Water will now show over the top of all other objects
  • Tight gaps with spikes have been made more lenient

//This is as compensation for increase in underwater mobility as the gaps were designed for slower movement//

Level 4

  • Several harsh jumps have been made easier
  • A platform has been added at the end of the Transportamus ride to make dodging the Hellspawn easier

Note: These changes have not been applied to "Daredevil"

BOSS UPDATES

Showstopper

  • Launch pads are now embedded into the ground to allow the showstopper to traverse the entire length of the screen

//Although the boss is meant to be easy, it was too much to have a spot that the player could AFK on and not be killed//

Bandit King

  • Boss head hitbox increased to be more forgiving
  • Boss gravity scale reduced 5>>>4
  • Time between blackouts increased 1.5s>>>2.5s
  • Spikes have been added on the ceiling for both layers

//The gravity scale reduction now allows the Bandit King to dash straight across the central gap when full enraged//

//The spikes now force the player to use the portals to reach the upper layer and attack the boss using the gap in the middle as opposed to simply standing stationary and landing a few well timed jumps//

Acheron

  • Boss base speed increased 2>>>4
  • Boss enraged speed multiplier increased 1.25>>>1.5
  • The player will now be thrown much further when making contact with the boss, regardless of if they're hitting the weakspot or not

//This is to prevent the boss from being killed in one screen traversal and to generally make it more challenging//

Fyrefly

  • Ring fireball size decreased 1>>>0.75
  • Boss enraged ring of fire speed increased 2>>>2.5

//This is to generally make the boss more doable, but also making the last hit harder as the player only has to get in without taking damage as opposed to in and out (the ring will disappear once the boss is defeated)//


BONUS TRIALS UPDATES

Speedrun

  • Time limit decreased 75>>>70
  • Hearts have been added around the map in the positions from Level 1

Hunt

  • The coins are now located more closely together in a sectioned-off area of the map
  • Time limit decreased 240>>>50
  • Water level increased
  • Music changed to be more lively
  • Red water theme removed
  • Dark shroud removed

Daredevil

  • The star will now be located where the Transportamus was as opposed to the end of the entire level


NEW ADDITIONS

New UI

  • Difficulty guidance has been added to the main menu
  • Symbols have been added to indicate if the player needs to "hold forward" at the start
  • Level icons have been given a border to look more clean

Mr Chow Down (Entity)

  • Lives: N/A
  • AI Type: MrChowDown
  • Speed: 20
  • Jump: N/A
  • Ability: Terrain Evasion

New Bonus Trials

  • Romp - Defeat all the enemies within the time limit.
  • Fast Foes - Enemies move faster, reach the end.
  • Attack - Reach the end while avoiding Mr Chow Down.
  • Deathrun - Reach the end before the time is up, you can collect clocks throughout the level to add time.

BUG FIXES

Visual Bugs

  • The 100% symbol, to indicate the level has been completed, will no longer reset upon the completion of another level.
